The Nkoronko cooperative, situated in northeastern Burundi, in the hills of Karuzi province, brings together hundreds of small-scale producers living on the slopes surrounding the washing station. Once harvested, the coffee cherries are delivered by the members of the cooperative to the washing station, where they are processed using either washed or natural methods.

Founded in 2005, the cooperative’s washing station was established in 2009. Initially, the station specialized exclusively in naturally processed coffee, but for the past few years, it has also been producing washed coffees, expanding its range and enhancing its offerings.
